Description: Patents for the earliest hand-held units date back to the 1850s. The Acme Co. was among the first to manufacture the planters. The 1902 Sears, Roebuck & Co. catalog advertised the Acme planter for 56 cents. Most of the graphics are clear. "THE ACME Hand Corn Planter Patented Sept. 11, 1900" "Trade Mark ACME" "Manufactured by POTATO IMPLEMENT CO. Traverse City, Mich." Does have original patina. Would make a very nice Country / Farmhouse decor item! Check pictures carefully. Measures 34" tall. ANY REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED!
