Description: Here is an early Willard & Co. brass petzval radial drive camera lens. The lens has been well used and at some point in its past someone went to a great amount of work to solder on brass patches covering the waterhouse stop opening on the sleeve and covering up the hole from where the radial drive would have been attached. The lens has lost some of its nickel finish. While it is not the prettiest lens its the optics that count and the glass is clean and clear showing some wear. The inner lens barrel still has the waterhouse stop opening. The lens is massive with the front glass diameter being approx 3.5 inches. The focal length of the lens is approx 13" to 13.5". Probably closer to the 13". It is missing its front hood attachment. It has its flange which has been partially cut to fit the lensboard it was on at some time. If your looking for those swirly bokeh petzval pictures this is a great chance to pick up a giant lens which would be quite a bit more money if it looked better.
