Construction began on July 5 when the Cubs were out of town, and was finally ready on Sept. 5. What they built is pretty much what you see today. Bill Veeck, future White Sox owner and son of the former Cubs VP, was charged with planting ivy on the newly built brick wall. The planting was done originally done late in the 1937 season, but the ivy really did not take until the next season. This item is a photo reproduction. Shipped rolled.
