These fragile items are dated 1943 and are made of thin leather with elastic strap construction. The bottom edge is lined with a narrow fleece strip to pad the nose and cheek. Because of their fragile construction, worn examples are seldom seen.The pinkish elastic strap looks like an add-on but is not. It is part of the original strap.
